Classes & Skills

Skills & Mastery

Your hero grows in two layers. Skill ranks make each skill stronger. The Mastery Board adds passive bonuses on top, from level 10 to the very end of the game. This page covers both, for every class, using the game's own data and screens.

Two layers of power

Both live in the same window: tap Skills on your hotbar. The two tabs at the top switch between them.

Layer 1

Skill ranks

  • Every class has a Basic tree plus its spec trees. Your spec is chosen at character creation.
  • Levelling gives skill points. Spend them to raise a skill's rank. Each rank opens at a set character level.
  • Higher ranks hit harder and usually recover faster, but most cost more mana. The cards below show rank 1 → max for every number.
  • You get two skill pages (I and II), each with its own ranks and hotbar. Switching is free, once every 30 seconds, but not within 30 seconds of being hit by a player or during a Relic War match.

Layer 2 · from level 10

The Mastery Board

  • Passive bonuses bought with Mastery points, separate from skill points.
  • Points come from levelling, hidden Ancient Seals, monster kill milestones, jobs and, after level 50, Mastery levels. Up to 70 in total.
  • The board has five rings that open as you level: shared bonuses first, then your class's own talents, branches and one keystone.
  • Nothing is spent until you confirm your plan, so you can try ideas freely.

Every skill

Pick a class and a tree. Numbers read rank 1 → max rank. Range is in game pixels (a character is about 32 px tall). The level strip shows the character level each rank opens at.

The Mastery Board

The board opens at level 10. Each ring opens at its own level, so new choices keep arriving as you grow.

A branch path open on the Mastery tab: numbered steps in the middle, requirements and a Your Plan box with Confirm on the right
Plan, then confirm. Tap nodes and press Add to plan. The plan box shows the cost and what is left. Nothing is spent until you press Confirm.

    Step 1

    Pick a ring

Core and Life & Utility are shared by everyone. Class Talents, Branches and Keystones are your class's own.

    Step 2

    Add nodes to your plan

Most nodes have several ranks. The card lists the requirement for each: level, points in other rings, or an earlier step in the branch.

    Step 3

    Confirm

The server checks every rule again and applies the bonuses at once. Your plan is kept if you close the window.

The Mastery tab before level 10: every ring shows a lock and the level it opens at; the right side lists where points come from
Before level 10. You can already look around: each ring shows the level it opens at, and the right side lists where your points will come from.

Board bonuses show on the skill. Take a skill node such as Burning Tips and the Skills tab lists it under Active Mastery on Fire Arrow.

    Earning Mastery points

There are 70 points in the game. Most come from playing normally. The rest reward exploring, first victories and the long game after level 50.

    What a typical hero has

Points you could reasonably hold at each stage, split by where they came from. Endgame includes the Sunderwake seals and all 13 Mastery levels.

The Points & Seals view: first victories ticked in the middle, the four point sources with your progress on the right
Points & Seals. The last entry on the board's left list shows every source and how much of it you have collected.

    Browse the board

Every node, with its effect per rank and its cost. Pick a class to see its own talents, branches and keystones. Core and Life & Utility are the same for everyone.

Stat flat bonuses · Skill changes one of your skills · Mechanic a new behaviour. Costs are per rank.

    Ancient Seals

Stone pillars hidden across the world. Walk up to one and it attunes to you: +1 Mastery point, once per character. An unclaimed seal pulses with light; a claimed one goes dim. Their places are part of the adventure, so this page only tells you where to start looking.

    Rules worth knowing

    Class Talents

    Core first

Your class ring and the Branches ring need 3 points in Core before they open.

    Keystones

    One big choice

Level 45, at least 30 points already on the board, and only one keystone per hero. Each one has a real cost next to its bonus.

    PvP

    Half against players

Mastery damage bonuses count at 50% against other players. Keystone costs always count in full.

    Resets

    First one is free

After that a reset costs 1,000 gold, or a Spec Change Scroll. Every point comes back.

    Level 50

    Mastery levels

At level 50 your XP bar turns into a Mastery bar. Each of the 13 Mastery levels gives +1 point; all of them take roughly 150 hours of play.

    Class change

    Points follow you

A Class Change Scroll returns the points you spent on your old class's talents, branches and keystone.

A keystone on the Mastery tab: bonus and cost, the PvP note and the requirement checklist
Keystones. Green is the bonus, red is the price. The checklist shows what is still missing.

    Questions

I'm already past level 10. Did I miss points?

No. Points for your current level and job levels are added the first time you log in after the update. Seals and monster-kill milestones count from the moment you reach them (boss first victories won before the change still count).

Do skill points and Mastery points mix?

No. Skill points raise skill ranks; Mastery points buy board nodes. Each has its own counter at the top of the Skills window.

Can I see which board bonuses affect a skill?

Yes. Open the skill on the Skills tab: the Active Mastery box lists every node that changes it, and the skill's row carries a ✦ badge.

Why did my XP bar change at level 50?

From level 50 your experience fills Mastery levels instead. The bar shows your Mastery level and percentage, and reads "Mastery MAX" at the cap.

Is a seal's point lost if I'm too low level?

No. Some seals need a minimum level. Come back later; the seal waits for you.
