The Hollow Moon rises over Vaelmark. Pumpkins glow in the fields, a witch has set up camp outside Vaelmore and something old is stirring in the eastern meadow. Gather Hollow Pumpkins all over the world, trade them with the Hollow Witch and ride home on a Nightmare Steed. Every festival reward is earned in game.
The festival currency
Bound to your character: it cannot be traded, sold or listed on the Market. Pumpkins come from almost everything you do while the festival runs.
Hunt
Every monster near your level has a 1.2% chance to drop one. Bosses drop 3 every time. Monsters far below your level (the ones that stop dropping loot) give none.
Gather
Every ore vein you finish and every fish you catch has a 10% chance to turn up a pumpkin.
Hollow nights
When night falls in Vaelmark (20 minutes every 2 hours), both chances are doubled.

Daily limit
Monster, boss, mining and fishing pumpkins stop at 40 per character per UTC day. Tasks, calendar gifts, the cauldron, Spectral monsters, candy buckets, satchels, the Harvest Witch and the Haunted Raid are not limited by it.
Spectral monsters
While the festival runs, 1.5% of ordinary monsters rise as a Spectral version: a violet, see-through ghost of themselves with ×2 health and +20% attack.
Bring one down for ×2 experience and 3–5 Hollow Pumpkins for you and every party member fighting nearby. These pumpkins don't count toward the daily limit.
Boss satchels
Help defeat any boss during the festival (camp bosses, hidden bosses, Abyss bosses, Pharaoh, Set or the Town Invasion chief) and a Hollow Moon Satchel lands in your bag. Heroes who share the boss's loot get one: damage dealers, healers and tanks.
Your first boss of each UTC day gives a Gilded Hollow Satchel instead: two draws and a better jackpot. The Harvest Witch pays with her own hoard.
Three tasks every day, reset at 00:00 UTC. Claim each one in the Hollow Moon window, then claim the bonus once all three are done.
Open one gift per UTC day while the festival runs. Gifts go in order of the days you claim, so joining late never skips a gift. Claim all 15 to earn the title Child of the Hollow Moon.
Once every 60 minutes
Stand next to the bubbling cauldron in a festival camp and stir it. Most stirs give a treat. Sometimes the fumes play a trick and turn you into a ghost, a bat or a pumpkin for 3 minutes (and you still get a pumpkin).
Trick or treat
Glowing pumpkin buckets wait all over Vaelmark. Walk up to one and tap it.
Once a day each
3 in Vaelmore and one in each nation town of the PvP world (level 35+). Each one opens once per character per UTC day with the cauldron's odds, tricks included.
Once ever each
Tucked away near monster camps: 10 around Vaelmore and 6 in the PvP world. Each one gives 6–10 pumpkins and 1–2 Hollow Wands, once per character. The Hollow Moon window counts how many you've found.

Find all 16 hidden buckets.
Play a trick on a friend
Stand next to another hero and use the wand from your bag: they turn into a ghost, bat or pumpkin for 10 minutes. It only changes how they look, and the wand isn't used up if nobody is close enough.
Get wands from hidden buckets, the cauldron, or the Hollow Witch for 4 pumpkins each.
Festival boss · 6 times a day on every realm, at its busiest hours
She rises in the meadow east of Vaelmore's east tower. The whole realm gets a warning 5 minutes before she appears, and she stays for 20 minutes before she vanishes into the mist. Her level is the highest level of the heroes nearby +2, and her health grows with every hero in the fight.
Your share
Deal at least 2% of her damage, or heal the heroes fighting her. Every hero who qualifies gets the hoard by mail when she falls.
Reward
The top 3 damage dealers get +10 pumpkins more. Up to 3 hoards per character per day.

The whole realm, together
Offer your Hollow Pumpkins at the Hollow Witch's camp. Every pumpkin goes into one pot for your whole realm, and each milestone helps everyone on that realm until the festival ends. Each realm fills its own pot.
The final battle · once per realm
When the pot is full, the whole realm is warned and The Hollow Queen rises in the eastern meadow 10 minutes later: the Harvest Witch in her true form, with ×3 health, +30% attack and every one of her spells. She stays for 30 minutes.
Everyone who earns a share gets the Harvest Witch's usual hoard plus a Harvest Witch's Hoard, a Gilded Hollow Satchel and 30 pumpkins. Her hoard doesn't count toward the daily hoard limit.
Offer 10, 50 or 200 pumpkins at a time from the Hollow Moon window while you stand next to the Hollow Witch. Offered pumpkins still count toward the pumpkin titles, and offering 300 earns the title Pumpkin Patron.
Town Invasion, festival edition
During the festival the Town Invasion turns haunted: skeletons march on the Guardian Crystal instead of orcs, led by The Hollow Lich. Times and rules stay the same. On top of the usual coffer, every defender's reward mail carries 10 pumpkins when Vaelmore holds and 6 when it falls, within the usual 4 raid rewards a day.
Spend your pumpkins
Find the Hollow Witch at the festival camp just east of Vaelmore. Trades go to your bag (or your mail when the bag is full).
The festival's prize
A shadow-black steed with a violet flame mane. Using it unlocks the mount for that character for good, with +30% travel speed. Trade 600 pumpkins for it, or get lucky: it is the jackpot of every Hollow Moon Satchel (1 in 500) and every Harvest Witch's Hoard (1 in 250).
Festival exclusive · earned in game only
Everything here comes from the Hollow Witch's trade. None of it is sold for gems, and all of it stays with you after the festival.
Costume · 1,200 pumpkins
A carved jack-o'-lantern head that glows from inside, a leaf collar and a royal harvest robe, drawn for all four classes on foot, on every horse and on the Witch's Broom. At night the pumpkin casts a soft candle light around you, like the lanterns in the festival camp.
Using the coupon unlocks the costume for that character for good. Worn over your armor, seen by everyone, +1 STR and +1 INT while worn. Bound to your account, so you can move the coupon to another of your characters through the vault.
Mount · 900 pumpkins
The Hollow Queen's own broomstick. Hop on and float above the ground, with +30% travel speed. Unlocks for that character for good. It is also in the Hollow Queen's hoard.
Aura · 250 pumpkins
Pale violet wisps and a soft ghost-light at your feet, permanently: once used, the aura is yours forever (Veils used before the change count too). Manage it in the Auras tab of your Character window and hide it any time.
Pet · 300 pumpkins
A little bat with a pumpkin for a belly. For 30 days it flies to your nearby loot and picks it up for you.
